Safe Use of the Web:

This blog 10 Internet Safety Tips for Students was created by Kathleen Morris (2012), a teacher a Leopold Primary School. Kathleen's blog is aimed at her primary school students and outlines the basics of internet safety. There are a few links at the end of the blog post which Kathleen recommends, these links go into further detail about safe use of the web. There is also a short video inserted into the blog post which briefly describes the benefits of social media but also the precautions we need to take when using it. 

Responsible Use of the Web: 

This short YouTube video Responsible and Ethical use of the Web was created by Kendall Knights (2014), it outlines a few important topics about how to research on the web responsibly. The video reminds students to always seek help from an adult to find appropriate websites and to always explore the 5 W's of a website to ensure it is a trustworthy source.

Ethical Use of  the Web:

The slideshow Safe and Ethical Use of Technology in the Classroom is a powerpoint presentation designed to educate students on both safe and ethical use of the web. The slideshow covers important topics such as: copyright, plagiarism, citation and many more topics related to safe and ethical use of the web.
